Matthew 5:14-16
Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.

When COVID-19 took us all by surprise, like many other things, our EP plans were also delayed. After fretting for a bit, we realised this disruption to our initial plans was not in the way of God’s bigger plans. In fact, it falls right into His design for the season and His perfect timing.
As we sought the Lord, He spoke to us clearly to write songs that would bring courage and hope into people’s hearts, and to help people understand His love and sovereignty in these dark days.
We felt strongly impressed that our church should shine brighter than ever. Yes, we are living in difficult and dark times. Yet now more than ever, instead of cowering back in fear or hiding in the shadows, we are called (not to be perfect), but to be the light.
My prayer is the Holy Spirit would weave courage and hope in your heart as you release praise to our unchanging God. May His light illuminate your life so that you can be the light.
